DAMOKLES
«SWING, PENDULUM, SWING»
(Vinter Records 2023)

Emotive post-punkers DAMOKLES returns with debut single "Swing, Pendulum, Swing", from their upcoming 2nd album

Oslo-based Damokles released their debut album "Nights Come Alive" last year 2022 on Vinter Records. The follow-up “Swing, Pendulum, Swing” is due out October 2023, also on Vinter, and now single no. 1 from the upcoming album is here! "Swing, Pendulum, Swing" is the title track from album two, and sees DAMOKLES further mutating their sound. Sonically, the song serves as an ominous taste of what to expect on this new outing; atmospheric melancholia drenched in 80s post-punk gloom, mixed with discordant cathartic fury. Thematically, "Swing, Pendulum, Swing" is about the fragility of our existence – the pendulum of fate which mercilessly swings between creation and destruction. The single is accompanied with a music video directed by longtime artistic collaborator Kenneth Olaf Hjellum.
